Cubase 4.1 update - finally sidechaining/free audio routing!
http://www.steinberg.de/41+M52087573ab0.html
Steinberg have finally caught up with life post 2002 and added some much needed functionality to Cubase, it's only been about 6 years since it was requested !!
But seriously, better late than never and over 50 enhancements for FREE in an update with major functionality improvement is definately not what Steinberg customers are used to. In the past they would have release this update as Cubase 5 with a 200 dollar upgrade needed. Seems like the 'Logic' effect is filtering down to other companies. Now all they need is a price cut..
Might finally update SX 3.1.1 - man, with Live 7 coming too better put in that overtime.....

On top of that you should consider to upgrade to Reason 4, because that's the real shiz!leedsquietman wrote:http://www.steinberg.de/41+M52087573ab0.html

I am very pleased with Cubase 4.1 except that my System Link is somewhat broken now, because they changed it.

Good to know but I'll stick with Live.
Too many jumps between one workflow and another means less music and more learning for me which I don't like. Live 7 will be my next move.

sx has really come on since SX2. i like it so much now and with added sidechain it just gets better. looking forward to trying out lives sidechain but unless I can use 3rd party scomps to sidechain i doubt the live comp will match the 3rd party comps i can use in sx. so far lives comps are very boring and characterless
HA HA HA
Free Routing at last...plus loads more improvements
Been looking forward to this update. Its a good update phew !
(Cubase still does the job well imo)
Can get back to using this for my arrangements now.
Cheers for the heads up leedsquietman.
OT I wish ableton would quit with the new version update every year and chill out with a "point" update instead every now and then. Live 7 looks great don't get me wrong but more monthly tutorials for Live, Operator, Sampler (Like back in the day) and more updated presets for their instruments (that demo whats possible if u are Henke, sure CovOp stuff is great but I'd like to see more of this from ableton too tbh.) plus general updated Live stuff. Also was watching that video of Live 7, can we get the old accent back please? Like the sound of the new dood sucks.
...whens Live 10 gonna be due 2011?
