the folder TempCacheContent.idx was not found crash

Post by delag » Fri Nov 02, 2007 7:38 pm

when I open live 6.10 I get this message, and when I try to open something I made in live 6 then it crashes

whaaaaaaaaaat??????

If I doubleclick on the .als songs in my documents, it opens them fine in live 7

????

I didn't save anything in live 7 since they are not backward compatible, but now all my songs in live 6 crashes

I made a search for it and nothing found

macbook pro... not on leopard

I played around with the temporary folder location in the preferences and all my songs now open fine in 6.10

fiouuuuuuuuuu...

I have to say in case it happens to anyone, that I have my temp foilder set on my external drive
but I suspect, maybe I'm wrong, having the Beta(now 7.11) could maybe affect this

it now point to: /Volumes/Portable/Ableton and in there is a folder called "temp project"
I assume that's the one it couldn't locate

before(when I had the crashes)it was pointing to:/Volumes/Portable/Ableton/LiveRecordings

Strange thing I know sometimes i turn on live 6.10 and forget to power up the external drive, then it sets it on my internal mac drive, then I reset it, but never had that message before with any diffrent TEMPORARY forlder location preferences
