extra uneeded audio from a clip..Can I delete it?

I have made a loop in a clip ..I like it..do not need the rest of it? Can I delete the rest to save HD space? Luke truncate the unused portions..If so, how?

You'll need to use an external wave editor to do that.

what you can do, is render only the amount of the clip to disk that you want to disk, then just delete the old file.
