nki Import into Sampler not working

Post by leinad » Tue Oct 17, 2006 8:41 pm

I'm unable to load nki (Kontakt Instruments) into Sampler.

If the files are not protected I get the message: "A serious program error has ocurred. Live will shut down after this message box is closed".

When I then close the message box, Live does'nt shut down, but shows a "Preparing import ..." message box which I then cancel (since it shows no progress) and then I'm back at Live's window.

I can the use Live, but when I try to import again, I get the message "Another import is already running, therefore a second one cannot be started."

Odd.

It happens on Bandstand nki's, on Kontakt 2's Library nki's, but Kontakt 1.5 Libraries import but have some problems with the release but that's another topic.

it's all about encryption.

if the kontakt files are encrypted (ie copy protected) then you can't import them.

I have the same problem, and the Kontakt files are definitely not encrypted or copy protected.

Maybe it's related to what version of Kontakt the files were made with?

Hi,

Could you send me one of these not-encrypted files, at [email protected]?
