Okay here's the situation... my parents went away... oh wait...
Here is the setup...
Windows XP system running Live 4.01 unlocked...
1) Create a MIDI track
2) Drop Korg Wavestation into the track
3) I armed record and made a blank midi clip to play around in...
4) made a 2 c0 midi note, that's all
5) play the clip
6) drag the clip around and it still plays
7) drop the midi clip into any different clip slot and it stops playing
I just checked and this is *not* the behavior of an audio clip, so it isn't something I magically missed during the upgrade. I imagine that the clip should continue playing, but perhaps there is a technical reason why it doesn't.
I played around with simpler, so this is repeatable within live itself, and isn't just a vst problem.

I tested this and this problem does not show up on OS X - I know you don't really need to hear that. All I can think of is that your monitoring or midi routing is not set up correctly on the midi track that you drag the clip to.

Ah...
Well, it certainly isn't a midi or audio routing issue, I am getting sound properly, only when I follow the steps I posted above. It is possible that this is a windows only bug... as I don't have a mac to test this on I cannot confirm.
