yeah, that's true, obviously if you have enough and the right kind of knobs/controls to particularly automate what you want, you can also use one control to automate more that one parameter and/or invert their directional behaviour. I just wonder why was it so difficult to implement something that has already and easily been implemented with other plugins. And that's EVEN those 128 parameters which are more that enough, at least those, there should be a way to assign anyone of those to a particular parameter from 0 to 127 a bit like, let's say, NI Kontakt or Battery does. It's not rocket science.

Stylus VST automation parameters still broken
I know this is an old post but this problem still exists in Live and it really limits the usefulness of Stylus VST in Live. When I run on a Mac using AU the automation works flawlessly, when I am running in Windows the automation doesn't work at all and none of the paramtes show up in the controller list (track volume, pan, filter, etc..). Can you guys at Ableton please fix this?

Re: Stylus VST automation parameters still broken
has anyone yet figured out if we can record automation from Stylus RMX in Live 7.xx?
If not, does anyone have the midi cc map of RMX? I just bought RMX, cannot find the cc map and getting ready to jump from the window (using the groove will make things easier i guess).
thanks to all!!!

it has been hinted that the next version of Live may have a method allowing you to choose which 128 parameters are displayed, probably (hopefully) vstxml support.
However, this will still provide a bit of a problem with Stylus RMX, since
(a) it is one of the few plugs where you might want to access more than 128 parameters (i.e. 8 banks of 16 parameters)
and more significantly (b) Stylus' parameters are not named, so you will have to figure out which of the 600-odd "unnamed" parameters are the ones you want to use.
It could still be possible to do. I've got an excel spreadsheet which has most of the parameters identified, it's just the slog of creating a vstxml to match. It's the sort of thing Spectrasonics might do themselves if their's enough interest or pressure.
klagga - in other words, you will have some problems.

oh, no.
not waiting for years and then only be able to choose some 128 parameters of stylus 20 000 paraemeters.
