Drum Machines - List of sampled machines?
as far as drum machines the sample pack goes... it looks neat, and 80 dollars is nothing for all that sampling work. It takes time to sample.
does anybody here sample their stuff?
as far as having a hard ware drum machine... yep its worth it.
did I buy drum machines... = no, I synth my own drums...
do I own a hardware machine = no, again, I like my software.

too many lasers...
I agree with that! They were quite limited if you ask me.Johnisfaster wrote:the electribe er-1 and rmkII (pretty much the same thing) make some of my favorite sounds out there. I've been pondering lately how much I wish they were make a new one without the stupid high hat and clap sounds and just have 8 more of the "modelled" sound sections that it has PLUS square and tri waveforms and a filter section. that would be so badass. maybe a noise osc too so we could layer a little noise over a sound here and there.downfader wrote:For machines the Elektribe,
korg sucks for not thinking thats a worthy machine to make.
..just thought of another must-have machine - The Machinedrum!
True.downfader wrote:Opinions are still worth expressing, surely..?sohcahtoa wrote:Whether a drum machine is worth having or not is completely subjective, so perhaps you shouldn't say that either.djgroovy wrote:Ok, maybe i should say there aren't that many drum machines worth having...
I apologize for crossing the line there. That smug little eyeroll emoticon brings out the worst in me.
Peace.
by the way you misspelled it, I take it _you_ don't understand the sohcahtoa reference. yeah, hubris coming from high school sophomore math class.laird wrote:Your statement reeks of hubris.
The geekiest that _you_ understand, maybe.
I wont argue that soakytoa is geeky, though.

I thought Tone Deft was a pretty sad name, you got me beat (google 'tone deft' to see a band that used that name, I had no idea.) a trig reference was the last thing I'd expect to see on a music forum.sohcahtoa wrote:Yes, if grade 9 trigonometry is the geekiest thing you can think of, I can't help that.Tone Deft wrote:sohcahtoa - you have without a doubt the geekiest login name on the internet. Pat yourself on the back Tone Deft. You're THE MAN.

Um, Laird's intentional misspelling is how he usually refers to me - we've known each other for a long time. Rest assured that he understand the reference, and that he thinks it's geeky.Tone Deft wrote:by the way you misspelled it, I take it _you_ don't understand the sohcahtoa reference. yeah, hubris coming from high school sophomore math class.laird wrote:Your statement reeks of hubris.
