Audio Track Output turned off another track's VST

Post by Timur » Sun Dec 09, 2007 12:58 am

Today I had something strange occuring with Live 7. I was playing around with recording some bass lines. One of the recorded bass clips was playing on track 1 while on track 2 I tried some Battery sets.

While trying different inbuild Battery effects it suddenly happened that when I turned on Battery own inbuild Reverb that the audio track muted. I switched the Reverb on/off several times and the audio track was unmuted upon turning off the Reverb and muted again upon turning the Reverb on. Two more klick and everything went back to normal. This did not happen before nor did it reapear when trying the same thing.

No idea what's wrong with that, but it's a bit worrying to see an inbuild effect of a VST that is running on a different track to be affecting clip playback. 8O

was there an armed track recording your button presses? look through your tracks for automation, I get caught with that a fair bit.

Not that I remember, no, at least recording was not started for any clip (I was working in Session view). Also I did the very same click before without the problem, then it happened for some click and then it vanished again.
