What type of microphone is best for vocoding?

Can I please get a couple of good recommendations for an mic which i only will use for vocoding?

Should i buy a dynamic or an condenser mic?

(i am on a cheap budget)

i would think a hypercardioid or pattern would be best, in order to eliminate as much backgound noise as is possible.

just get A cheap dynamic mic like an sm58 and use a sawtooth wave as your carrier signal for the classic vocode sound
