lovin all the music though. I spent quite a long time living my childhood last night for my list of songs up there. really took me back. I was very selective on what I shared cause I wanted it to be like a "mixtape"

thread-tape. can I coin that as my own? how do you coin a net term? (wiki?)
Sorry man.... didn't know it was not a public thread :D
I was to quick and filled with enthusiasm.
Although my childhood was in the 70's part 80's :D hope i did not spoil your childhood memories

Shall i delete my youtubelink post?

can I make a request??? I know you guys made mix tapes in the day, Adonis, you've DJed regularly, you didn't just throw random songs out in some random order.

put some style in your mixes!! some flow, a sense of style.

cool tunes btw, still listening, it's just better listening when there's a rhyme or reason to the track list, ya know, DJING!!!

this is a really cool idea, JIF!!

maybe put a 'rule' to limit it to a 10 song mix???

Suit #1: I mean, have you got any insight as to why a bright boy like this would jeopardize the lives of millions?
Suit #2: No, sir, he says he does this sort of thing for fun.

seeing that I'm 32 I turned 18 during the year 1993 - living 2 miles from where I live now I was kind of at the heart of all that ;)

yes, I had the doc martins, flannels and chain wallet (plus a flat top fade)

those were the best years - I turned 18, working for the Super Sonics, won the city golf championships (with a 69, 72 = 1 over) had a hot girlfriend (same one I have now) snowboarding every weekend with my best friend, writing graffiti for seattle's biggest crew at the time (2ZC) and I was on my way to college - not a care in the world - that music (above) was a big part of my life...the singles soundtrack just takes me there (everytime)

then, I turned 21 and things really haven't been the same since (hmmmmmmmmmm)

OK, this got out of control. I started grunge and went somewhere else it's more or less an early 90s/late 80s mix, '91 give or take a few years. been playing with youtube on this, you can play more than 1 instance of youtube at a time for some weak DJ crossfading. I put this together to flow from song to song, listen loud.

I give you: I Like It In My Ear

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPmtiLeMMow <-- Smashing Pumpkins - Drown (Live version, OK audio)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdDA9KNP ... re=related <-- same as above, good audio, lame video
(nevermind the user intro and the fact that this song was sold to a contrived movie for the grunge crowed, good audio quality, bad video.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQRIX91ddWE <-- Sonic Youth - Kool Thing, nice intro/video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0OdSoKfTP1k <--- same song, better audio

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2SLs7EWyIk <-- The Godfathers - Birth School Work Death

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RrJQHsy8qI <--- Dramarama - Anything Anything (video from Everyone Loves Raymond or CSI SUV, whatever)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nx9iZQy36Mo <--- The Pixes - U Mass

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yu19-qvD9L4 <--- Primus - Harold Of the Rocks (nice long live version, good audio)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=05zdJ8jJH-Y <--- L7 - Pretend We're Dead (GREAT VIDEO!)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFfIZSh_chg <-- Rage Against The Machine - How I Could Just Kill A Man
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1JSBhI_0at0 <-- RATM again, random find, the politico OT'ers should like this one.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LF7gRKPos8I <--- Cypress Hill - Latin Lingo

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qw5Gl28Xe5o <-- Urban Dance Squad - Deeper Shade Of Soul

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zmZYRQlJec <--- Digable Planets / Lester Bowie, Joe Sample, Wah-wah Watson - Flying High In the Brooklyn Sky

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0o0CCq6cbfc <--- A Tribe called quest - Bonita Applebum

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-Fh9bELnhs <-- Pharcyde - Passing Me By

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZ2a9wfTS2U <-- Red Hot Chili Peppers - Apache Rose Peacock

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WalE8hYzONM <--- Digital Underground - Freaks Of the Industry

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fF7O_gC4m_s <-- Stereo Mcs - Elevate My Mind

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvBEAAEB ... re=related <--- Revolting Cocks - If You Think I'm Sexy

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5PjUY8IXvnA <--- Siouxsie and the Banshees - Peek-A-Boo

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=waia83h6Y2k <-- The Cure - Lullaby

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0Xm-gNiFOc <--- Concrete Blonde - Bloodletting

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZkL5QZzh7KI <-- NIN - Terrible Lie (live)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25uzASUu5Kg <--- Ministry - Scarecrow
<insert every Ministry song ever>
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dG_-rq1ON9Y <-- more Ministry because I fucking said so - Thieves

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXr8GjHSImY <-- Ethyl Meatplow - Ripened Peach

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69R_Uf57R0U <-- Sugarcubes - Birthday (live)
