.gig file import problems

I just imported the "Malmsjo Acoustic Piano HP" and, while the velocity layers are intact, it sounds AWFUL. It plays the clip for half a second and then theire is an extremely loud white noise sample that plays, for all of the samples. So far, I've had a problem with samplers 9 times out of 10 with importing gig or exs files, has anyone else experience this?
