How is the windows version coming along? If it works good I might get another sl. I sold my zero sl because automap didn't fit my needs as a daw controller. If this thing works I will end up getting the 37sl. I need a new midi keyboard anyway.

bump. This is frickin' cool!

I still havent got my head around everything, but most of it makes sense. There's still a few things that are kind of strange, but overall it's very cool. I definitely hope it continues to get developed/refined.
0.2 release

-using MCE and Automap both
-changing Port 3 to Port 2 (you can still use Port 1 for MIDI learn)

What do you mean by these two changes? MCE and autmap both?

Also, I can't seem to find a way of controlling instruments within racks with automap, it only sees the rack macros. Is this the case?

Thanks a bunch for sharing this, and for all your work on it!

another work around would be to use Remote SL Classic, then you can scroll thru every parameter, but it's a lot of scrolling =/

That won't help. It's not the amount of parameters it reads that is the issue, it's that it can't control instruments within a rack at all. Or least I don't know how it's done.

excuse my ugly English.
most controls use Mackie Control Emulation.
some controls use Automap (template 40).

-instruments within rack
This is a specification of Mackie Control.
The next version might be solved.

But I have a question. What is a '#' modifier? Are you referring to a keyboard key or a control on the remotesl?

Also when i loaded the sysex file in remotesl manager it said all parameters where not set in range and it truncated some before upload.

"# modifier" is a drumpad row select button on the SL(see Manual pdf).
and, please use other application like Sysex Librarian if there is a problem for upload.

I got the same message when I loaded the MCE sysex file into the manager, but I managed to upload it anyways. Could this cause problems? Would using another app like sysex librarian not have this problem of parameters being out of range?

thanks!

this is excellent. loving it.
however it is eating about 10% of my cpu. is this normal? automap only uses about 1%. i realize that it's a work in progress, just wondering if maybe i'm doing something wrong.
