MidiStroke HELP!

Post by freshkicks » Mon Dec 17, 2007 3:13 am

Hey everyone
Im having some troubles getting midistroke to work at all on my computer. Im running a novation SL25 in a intel macbook running 10.4.8. Im also running ableton version 6.0.7. Are there any known issues with this setup?
i gone as simple as plugging in key C4 to midi channel 1 with no value, set to simply delete whatever is selected.
Doesnt work. any ideas?
thanks for any help

Make sure you use MidiMonitor or some other monitoring app to see that the right note is entered into midiStroke... C4 means different things in different programs / hardware.

Maybe post a screenshot of your midiStroke setup?

Here is my screenshot. I dont have my novation keyboard plugged in but when it is i select it in the SRC. I would think I would be able to hit C4 (i went back and hit every key on my keyboard and there was no action) and midiStroke would delete the "Click Synth" file in ableton. right?

Yeah, you can't actually type in C4, you have to type the actual note number. So, C4 would be 48. I think. If not, try 36 or 50 (multiples of twelve).

Ok, I just downloaded MidiMonitor and will try changing to the number when I get back to my studio. I'll let you know if that works. thanks for your help, very excited to get this up and running!
