Controling automation with MPK49?

First the mkp49 is the real deal! But cannot control automation. any tips??

Make sure you seletected the DAW you are using on you mpk49. Make sure the DAW you are using recognizes the keyboard as mpk49.

I'm having problems with this too. It has worked before, but now it doesn't. Transport/automation are not working. I can manually set them up, but at one point everything just worked WITHOUT my intervention. The support base for this controller is kinda weak IMO.

Anyone know of a good onilne forum for help with the mpk49 and the vysex software? I am completely lost at this point.
