Operator deactivated

Post by tsewai » Wed Jan 16, 2008 7:00 am

I just installed Live7 over Live6 (2 versions are present in the same machine at the moment).

However, my Operator only work in Live 6. In Live7, it's "Deactivated".

Do I need to unlock it (Operator) again? I have already installed it (I mean unlocked it) twice previously on 2 different machines when I installed Live6.

Since I think it's Ableton's regulation to allow unlocking twice. I don't know if I can/I need to unlock it again when I install Live7.

Thanks!

Hi tsewai,

Sounds like a bug to me. You should have kept your Operator
license, unless you somehow changed your hardware configuration
before installing Live 7. However, if this is not the case, you can
safely just unlock Operator again, it won't "count" since it's the
same computer.

I'll look into it, though. Thanks for reporting, and sorry
for the inconvenience.

Carl

Uhm, just to clarifiy something: did you delete
your unlock file in between the installations? Or did
you change your hardware configuration or reinstall
your system?
