I just received my boxed version of Live 7 with EIC2 today [Fed Ex just left it on my doorstep for several hours]. When I install the Live Packs they all hang up and fail. For 3 hours I have wrestled with each one individually. Finally, they are all installed EXCEPT:
Strings
Woodwinds
Grand Piano
These all just show up as Live Application not responding in Activity Monitor on OSX Leopard 10.5. I then force quit, and retry... many times. These 3 Live Packs are mainly why I bought the EIC2.
Anyone else have this issue? The search function on the forum is horrible so I apologize if this has been discussed before. I have also contacted Support.

Hi adverbialsensationalist,
Unfortunately, Live *looks* frozen when installing
large packages, but stuff is happening
under the hood. These are of course the largest
packages, so that's probably why you thought
Live was just locked up.
Try installing each one and just letting it run for
15 to 20 minutes, you should see some progress
by then.
Cheers,
Carl
