I really enjoy the fatman, not the best out there but with a little pushing you get can some warmth. You never know exactly what the K2000 will spew out. Love it.

as I have already received emails asking me about my studio furniture setup, I thought I'd counter any further requests by posting a brief rundown of the most crucial aspects of my stuio.

the nest of tables I think was from Argos in Basildon, Essex for about 15 quid, the Bunny wallpaper belonged to the child of my landlord and the bong was from Reading festival via my sister. That's the most crucial part, you can get them from most tobacconists for about 10 pounds. Green plastic chair, any outdoor furniture supplier.

Lucid, I lived on Capitol Hill, then moved to Bothell,
and a few months ago moved about 30 min north.
Must get back to the city soon. Cowpies anyone?

On your Penta, do find it hard to get decent instrument input levels without cranking up the gain?
Seems I have to really give it hot signal from the board
then crank up the input gain to even begin to touch yellow.

Rural Washington is messing with me Twin Peaks style
"I'm gone, like a turkey in the corn",
"gobble, gobble"

Cool ! Seattle sure has a lot of interesting characters around. I live in Post Alley Court vicinity south of the Pike Market area. Rural Washington gets old pretty fast for me, but I like the scenery.

I mostly use the Penta on mic'ed sources, but yes, I find that I have to turn up the input gain to get a strong signal for recording something like direct bass guitar.

I know what you mean! That sucker does some mmeean stuff, and these days they're dirt-cheap.

But tell you wot; I'll trade you my kurzweil k2000r that keeps losing its memory when I move it, for your analog modular, whudya say?
Is it a MOTM? What kinds of sounds do you use it for?
Cheers,
Andreas

Tek, farther north - Arlington, where we love cow tippin' and backey spatin'...

Machinate- hehe. I'll think about it
It's a synthesizers.com modular. good price, great sound.
I usually use it for drones, basses, leads, blips and bleeps, and for external
processing of drum loops and synths. I really like Reaktor going through it.
