Freeze effects?

Is it possible to freeze a delay effect or a reverb in live 6? I have tried to do it myself and I couldn't find any topics on the forums on this...

Did you try the "freeze" button on Live's reverb????

The great thing about "freeze" is that its a descriptive term, so you can get "freezy" effects many different ways.

Try turning up the feedback on a delay to 100%, the wet/dry to 100%wet, and the delay time short. That'll be frozen.

There are plugins that'll resample incoming audio and loop a short segment, and these can be cleaner than delays/reverbs.

Like GRM Tools' aptly named Freeze.

well, I'm not sure the "freeze" effect on the reverb is gonna be what you are after, even though literally it fits your question 100%.

Some vocoders and Granular resynthesizers also contain a Freeze effeect.

You could even pre-program Freeze effects using just Simpler... or even just with Audio Clips with the proper Clip Launchy Mode and short loop times-- but these wouldn't be "real time" effects the way Buffer Override or some granular plugin will allow.

I bought an amazing program called time freezer (www.timefreezer.net). it's $99, but you can freezer incoming audio, manipulate pitch and cutoff, size, etc. if you record the output and put it into simpler, then set loop points, you can create some really cool ambient detuned pads with seamless loops.
