I'm looking around for an internship now, and struggling a bit.
anyone want to take in a student for a week?
it was worth a shot...

Are you looking to get into the production end of things or the "creative" end of things?stonee wrote:anyone here into this?

I'm more for production. specifically, feild production, more specific, camera operator.
I'm also happy doing lighting or audio.
ultimatly, my goal is i'd like to film dangerous stuff, or wildlife.

and porn, obviously.stonee wrote: ultimatly, my goal is i'd like to film dangerous stuff, or wildlife.
Why not combine all three... a gonzo-style outdoor beastiality flick, filmed on location...at a PETA convention to be precise.
danger + wildlife + porn = $$$
spreader of butter

i spent years in film and tv production .. it is satisfying work in many ways and a lot of people in the industry are quite cool / nice people to work with.
personally i loved working on live to air tv.. nothing like the thrill of possibly fucking up and the world gets to see with no recourse i wish i had the same enthusiasm and lack of nerves for live music performances..
i dont recommend working in post production however.. nothing sux as bad as knowing u have wasted a good deal of ur life watching a blue line moving across the screen rendering a frame at a time at snail pace.

I would die if i had to work post production for video.
I'm ok for post production of audio.
live to air is pretty sweet, I've done a few local telethons. it keeps me busy, which is nice.
I really enjoy the people as well. though, a few dicky know-it-alls get through.
this wildlife porn idea though... hmmm....
I spent many years in film production as well. It can be a lot of fun and you can make some good money, but be prepared to work crazy hours and spend a few years getting people coffee and driving people around.sweetjesus wrote:i spent years in film and tv production .. it is satisfying work in many ways and a lot of people in the industry are quite cool / nice people to work with.
