Beat Repeat 2
What great suggestions for the next LIVE 8 ?!
Hi,
It's funny to read all the new "features" people wants for the brand new... Live 8 ? Are you all insane or what ? All this improvements would be coded in the next version version of Live and not as an update !
... Ah ! Also, you have great VSTs (and AU for mac users) named Suppatrigger or LiveCut, and all are FREE !!! Just download it, install it and try it : this is much better than few things to put in a future update of LIVE.
... Don't forget a huge one : dBlue Glitch...

One thing I´d love to control in beat repeat is the length of the breaks between each repetition.
Right now I´ve got a nice evolving pad that I´m chopping up with BeatRepeat. It sounds great, but I notice that to really get the job done well, I will have to use an Audio Editor. I just wanna know what it would sound like if there was no break at all between each repetition.
Also, I´d like to make more complex repeat patterns, maybe with an option to tap the repetitions out manually via midi, and make this pattern repeat itself.
The same goes for delay effects.

All of this is great, constructive stuff.
For my part, I'd love to see a reverse reapetition. It would be great for breakbeats and experimental/IDMish electro. The reverse function should have it's own set of controls like the duration, time, random, repetition etc... so you could pin-point only a small part of the repeat to be reversed. Choose the gate etc... for your reversed repetitions and obviously, have a button to override the settings and reverse everything.
This could also act as a reversed delay too.
+1 to all!

You can use clips to quantize the repeat button on the beat.hoffman2k wrote:Launch quantization for the repeat button.
My feature request would be to keep beat repeat simple. A reverse, pitch up and some more intervals and it's golden. And I def do't want a lucifer clone. Those who want that kind of plugin should get glitch or effectrix.
