is there ANY!! application at all that allows video sync???

i am using live 4 on a PC and i must say....there simply has to be a way that i can compose music in live....a beautiful thing.... in sync with an AVI of the movie i am trying to score??????

i have 2 other computers if that is an issue.....both PC and live 4 has midi out so there just has to be a way....using midi sync even???
thhnx to all and specially to anyone who can come up with an answer......i mean live is THE TOOL FOR FILM COMPOSITION......please people there has to be a way...

hi, check out a previous thread called 'VIDEO sync with Live'. i personally use pro tools for syncing sound and video and haven't tried any of these recommended programs by other users, but they might help

well thnx mike for yur time however i cant find any post 'VIDEO sync with Live' at all so im a bit lost....can u remember what apps they were discussing please mate????

ReVision sounds like the one if you're Mac-based. If you're not, seems you're shit out of luck. :(

even revision is no good because u cant use vsti with revision even on a mac so they are in the same boat as pc users......who may juat as well rewire live to cubase sx and do it that way.....howqeverw that is not the same

I know! i'm dying for video sync too!! I got Live to sync with Adobe Audition 1.5 via ReWire, but only as slave so no VSTs. Plus the sync wasn't that great... not a satisfactory solution at all!! grrr... hopefully people are working on this somewhere right now! A ReWire-slave video application! Please!

the jitter solution above actually looks good however......the $ issue and the learning curve of cycling 74 are big hurdles

Oh well, add your name to the wall, seems a few of us are after this :) What would be neat to go with video would be warp markers for the arrange view, to enable super-easy adjustment of tempo to hit those cues right on time:

ok good news
i have this thing working
u can drive n-track studio http://www.ntrack.com/ using midi clock from ableton live 4 out....i am using it via a real midi cable to a seperate computer running n-track...however im sure it would work using midi yoke or similar

please post here with results
