How to conect an external mixer without firewire?
Hey
Ok i have this external mixer and my macbook.
I want to send channel 1 to an audio card (usb one that i just bought) and the other one to the macbook audio input.
The problem is that in the output config in Live i can just set 1 output and somehow when i try to select the "1mono 2 mono" box its uncheckable (i can just check the "stereo" box), do you know how can i make it work?
Cant afford right now a firewire and i have this event in 2 weeks, really need help.

let me get this straight...
you want to send channel 1 (in stereo) of your MIXER into the INPUTS of your new usb sound card
you want to send channel 2 (in stereo) of your MIXER into the built-in INPUTS of your macbook..
right?
if so, ntp is right about creating an aggregate device - because Live cannot use more than one sound card at once - so you need this apple trickery
what I do not understand is why you are concerned with the OUTPUTS of the soundcard
also if you are working with stereo recordings you don't even want to separate 1/2
please explain
