Loading Access Virus C OS6.5 from Live 4.01

Post by qmanvox » Fri Sep 10, 2004 12:40 pm

Hi...

Anyone else updated virus OS in LIVE !!!

Connected my Access Virus C via MOTU timepeice in Core Audio, opened LIVE4.01 and set 2 midi tracks up as per Access Virus install instructions. Routed Midi options to MOTU PORT 5 (virus connect). Dragged midi OS file over to track 1 but wont drop in..keeps having watch face icon but nothing else

I also tried OS chunks load as Virus advised that some sequencers dont like big OS midi file

:?: Can it be done, if so any guidance is appreciated

When I upgraded my virus to OS 6.5, I used Cubase SX 2 on the PC. It went without a hitch.

In my old studio (Cubase OS9) I would have done the same BUT LIVE4.01 is only midi sequencer I have setup at moment as in busy building new studio and still deciding on Pro Tools/Logic or Nuendo/Cubase setup...I am asking specific load in LIVE app

thanks for reply regardless

saw your post so i tried to see if i could get it to work. no go. i too get the watch icon and nothing else. also, the live browser shows a folder and nothing inside. maybe there's some specific midi info in the update file that live doesn't like? this is a good question for ableton support...
sorry i couldn't be more help!
