Crackles, CPU-Peaks and MIDI-Bugs
With 7.0.3. I face several problems I DID NOT HAVE BEFORE.
I have crackles now and then.
The CPU now and then goes to 70% while just playing back.
MIDI triggers like a machine gun or with inacceptable delays.
Doubling channels with synths makes the programm always crash.
These bugs are INACCEPTABLE. Please deliver 7.0.4 quick.
Until then I will use 7.0.2 (which might not be the intention by you ableton guys...).
Live 7 is definitely the most buggy and unstable incarnation of the programm.
Please work on it.

I have the same probelm. But also with 7.0.2.
I have a MacBook Pro with 2Go RAM.
Since one week (last Apple patch?), it is a nightmarre! Just one plugin (e.g. a NI Massive) and my live is crackle... My CPU monitor waves from 0 to 50-70-80% and I cannot work!
Before that, I was able to use 5 Massives without any problem... Now finish...
Please, help me to fix it!
Any advise (latency, bluffer, etc.??)

try running the CPU usage simulator (audio preferences window) at 80% a few seconds before running your set, this could help os X to allocate the cpu ressources in a better way to live...
but this should'nt have to be, what 's wrong with live 7 ?
(I think I'll stay at level 6.0.10 for a while
)
good luck

I have the same issues, as reported in this thread:
http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=89767
My problem was while I was on Tiger, and at that time I was able to still use 6.0.10 to run my Live sets. I've since upgraded to 10.5 to see if that made a difference. Initially, it was perfect, and I was very happy, but it has returned to a state of non-operation after 2 weeks.

Hi,
if you experience a problem which crackles, which is not solved by turning Airport off while using Live, please contact [email protected] with the system infos and files as described here:
