selecting sample display via midi?
selecting sample display via midi?
How does some one set focus to the “sample display”? I want to be able to zoom in and out with my midi controller, but the buttons will only work if I have clicked on the “sample display” first.

there is a button that does this, in midi-map mode there is an area you can select, its at the bottom of the vertical track-column in session-view. there are a few buttons there, exposed in the midi-map mode. one of those buttons is a clip-select button.A_Guy wrote:How does some one set focus to the “sample display”? OK i think i found where you are talking about, it does make the tracks wave form apear below. Problem is that i still cant use the + and - buttons to zoom in and out.
only way i have found to do this is to actualy click on the wave form and then press the + and -
surely there must be a way to select the wave form with out a mouse.

on a mac i use midistroke to convert a midi message to the keystroke shift+tab then i assign the same button on my controller to track select then i can switch between clip and track view

then u can use + - to zoom
Bome's is such a great tool...
...here's a good one...
Alt+E+ 19 Downarrows + Rightarrow +Enter = No record quantization
Alt+E+ 19 Downarrows + Rightarrow + 1 Downarrow +Enter= 1/4 note quant
Alt+E+ 19 Downarrows + Rightarrow + 2 Downarrow +Enter= 1/8 note quant
etc.

yep.... I actually got all the clip params mapped...timothyallan wrote:the loop brace one is a huge pain, but if you map some relative encoders to the loop start/end number fields, and 2 buttons to loop start/end buttons, you will always get a quantized loop brace you can move around and resize.
still selecting loop brace and OVR would really make me happy I use those a lot
