Break Board into Sub Groups Please!

Post by granted » Mon Apr 21, 2008 5:13 pm

Ableton,

Please break up this message board into sub groups.
There should be a seperate group for:
Basic Operation of Live
Advanced Operation of Live
Clips
Operator
Sampler
Simpler
Electric
Analog
Tension
Drum Machines
Essential Instrument Collection 2
Session Drums
"Live" Live use
"Studio" Live use
Live and VST
Live and external MIDI devices

Sub boards would be so valuable to not only LIVE users, but also to Ableton as a company.

Please consider this request. Hire a phpBB contractor, take the board down for a day and make it better for everyone.

Thats an excellent idea..would save a lot of hastle if looking to solve a problem with something..you can go straight to the proper sub forum and check it to see if someone else has already posted any helpful info...

What about General, Live LE and Live Lite? Also, Local, Link your Music, For Sale, Wish List, Bugs and Problems, Beta, and a Live and my Set up board (describing your specific HW & SW profiles and all of the non live issues you had and how you solved them!

Can we make it 30 board's?

Yes, I think that this is a damn fine idea. It's pretty hard to wade through the swathes of posts, re-posts, and incorrectly spelled titles to find what you need. Even the seach function can't help sometimes...!

Let's split this sucker out!

Especially if you're seaching for the wrong thing.

Sometimes, you don't actually know exactly what the correct terminology is for the thing that you want to search for! This, in effect, renders the search function redundant...

it's retarded. let me put it this way, as someone who answers questions I will not go through 15 different forums to track all the questions down, what a pain in the ass.

about 1/4 of thread titles are very poorly thought out, there's no way users would stick to the proper forum and there's not going to be a mod to sort it out.

again...
type this into google:
gaping vagina site:www.ableton.com
and you'll get google to search the forum for gaping vagina posts.

if there's a morsel of info you really liked, I encourage you to drop it into the tips n tricks sticky so you can find it later, or e-mail yourself a link.

doesn't matter, Ableton won't do it, they probably won't even comment on it. the forum is what it is, let them develop code and address bugs, this is a lame idea.

aaaaanyway, enough of my $0.02.

you think it'd be cached into google that fast?

FAIL.

it's better than the forum search.

you're the fail puppy, trailing me around, knocking me into the water, I'll keep getting up no matter how many times you knock me down.
