dub only page!!!!
Wow!
And I thought everyone here was into techno.
I used to do a lot of house and electro, but lately Im going more towards hip-hop and junk-funk, aswell as some dubby (yet sample orientated) stuff. I'm getting into a really British kinda vibe lately. I LOVE Operator for quick and dirty dub bass, or trippy modular style effects.
This reptitive little track is kinda laced with Marmite and marijuana..
Think Mr Scruff meets Lee Perry.

I almost fell asleep listening to this on my headphones.
I like your use of the stereo field and your kick drum sounded nice too.
What sample did you use for the kick?
Casio keyboard with 48k ZX Spectrum, a couple of tambourines and a triangle.

KRamer, I liked the 'authentc' the best
condra, I checked your out, defintiely had me smilin' nice vib.
For the kick drum: A year a go I put the mic on the floor and stamped my foot 15-20 times, then I cut em up, put the folder in my sample library, and I have used them ever since...if you want the kick I can upload it for you

I was really into dub at one point - some king tubby, but mostly that good vintage lee scratch perry. have moved from that to more electronic stuff like bluetech, which is very slickly produced, but can't help getting back to the scratchy perry stuff!!!
do yourself a favor and pick up the Apeology by Perry released last year!
