How often do you buy a new mac?

2000 : powermac G4
Xmas 2005 : powerbook G4

at work i'm using a dual G5 and now i'm so used to the power of a dual that i'm maxing out my powerbook in no time (plugins like massive, guitar rig).
so yeah i want a new mac!!!
i must resist too...

Be kind of silly to buy one now though wouldnt it.... unless you really needed it...
Theyr gunna upgrade the look and chips in june possibly, so you would be left with a dinosaur very quickly.

Usually when a new generation Mac comes along, but not until I let the foolish ones do Apple's Rev 1 beta-testing!

I keep the older ones for backup, render farm, DVD burning, kids, etc.
