Hi,
I'm running Leopard 10.5.2 and Live 6.0.10 and get random crashes when DJing, thankfully this hasn't happened live yet but I've got an important gig coming up in the next week so if anyone knows any suggestions or has a similar problem we can pool ideas.
As I said it's pretty random, the only similarity is playing mp3's/ mp4's
Any ideas?
Fet
Edit: Is there going to be any further versions for 6?

the only way i solved my problems with leopard was a clean re-install of everything !
worth it though - no problems since - i was having some horrible crashes - in live situations too - very annoying
good luck

I have a very similar issue to this, and have been through the support track with a number of emails with no resolution so far.
Seems to be related to any audio coming from Reason into Live through Rewire. After a certain point, Live will just completely lock up forever... it doesn't generate a crash log, and nothing gets logged additionally in the main log file either. ADDITIONALLY, any audio coming from Reason into Live has clicks in it, no matter what I set the buffer to in Live.
My setup: 2.4ghz Macbook Pro 15", Leopard 10.5.2, Reason 4.0.1, Live 6.0.10, Novation Remote SL Compact 49. I've tried it with an older M-Audio Radium49 and saw the same issues.
I've tried with: Onboard audio, an M-Audio Fastrack USB audio box, as well as a pair of USB headphones.... ALL end up locking up Live, and ALL have the clicking problem with audio from Reason.
I'm convinced the problem has nothing to do with the Audio interfaces or the Midi controllers and is completely a software problem with Live and Rewire.
The problem DOES NOT happen when I run Reason alone (no clicks, no lockups, just rock solid) and when I run Live alone, it seems to be okay.
Wish I knew what to do... I'm to the point, since I have my machine backed up with Time Machine, of installing 10.4 to see if these problems are there... just to help troubleshoot it, but in the end, I refuse to permanently run 10.4 on this hardware because 10.5 is so much better, and frankly, Ableton needs to fix this problem.
Interestingly, with a little bit of googling, I found the following site which claims that they've seen problems with 10.5.2 and professional audio software:
http://www.native-instruments.com/index ... 5ad#c68502
But like I said, it doesn't happen when only using Reason alone, or using Live alone, so I'm not convinced.
I'm really disappointed since I've already lost a good chunk of work one night from this lockup problem (and the recovery option didn't work... it is what actually hosed it).
ABLETON - What can you do?

It may well be Apple's problem then, and I hear 10.5.3 is well on it's way but I've not seen any changes to Core Audio but who knows, Apple are usually very secretive about their releases but this one seems to be very open.

But my problem is running Live on its own, no other applications open which makes it even stranger that it should just drop =/
I've gone through the support process too and short of re-installing the OS they don't know what could be done but I don't really want to do that. It came pre-installed on my MacBook and it's only been running for 5 months so it can't be that bad!
Thanks for the link too, interesting to see that it is affecting other audio apps.
