Any way to Automate the Warp Mode's on/off Position?

Like the title says, I'm having some problems with artifacts when I try warping a single audio track (song). It's an acoustic track with vocals, and I'm trying to lock the song into tempo. I found that the tones warp mode works best, and it sounds alright for the most part, but for some parts there's no stopping the artifacts from popping up. So I was wondering is there any way to turn the warp mode off during those segments? (the segment sounds pristine with warp mode off). If not, are there any workarounds? I really don't want to learn how to use Melodyne, not to mention having to buy it to use on just a few tracks.
