Moldovers demonstration of how he works still leaves me confused

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2McDeSKiOU

He has a Live template available to download, but this still seems quite difficult to understand. The main question is just how does he get so much control over each of the tracks. It seems he can do anything to any track thats playing. I cant workout how to map something similar on my Remote SL

His template is here:

Does anyone understand what exactly he's doing, if you watch the beginning of the Youtube vid above......

I'm sorry but you really need to ask a much much MUCH more specific question. It's like asking "how do you DJ?". Since the video quite clearly specifies that he has a ton of custom plugins and hardware mods I reckon that's not what you're talking about?

Is it possible that he can switch the "focus" of what he's controlling to different tracks in live?

e.g. he's mashing up the beat, then he mashes up the vocal. Or do controls have to be set up for one thing only?

Hi j0shu@
I cant seem to find the point where he explains how to program Ableton to tap out the drums one beat ata time like a gate effect. Where is this explained?

Set your clips to launch mode trigger and quantization 1/16th.

OK lets nail this down a little, heres a screengrab of Moldovers template. I'd like to work out why there is a midi track for every audio track and what exactly they are doing there

I was thinking of the white keys obviously.

His Reaktor ensembles has a lot of midi mappings so I guess a lot of controls goes there. To get the exact same thing (gate lasts while key is held down) in ableton I think you'll need some midi translation software or a plugin.

He's running a Reaktor ensemble with multiple instruments. Each instrument has its own MIDI channel and set of outputs (Reaktor as a plugin effect has a multi-output option- that's why he has it loaded as an effect.

Probably just to route midi input.
