I'll pass that on - the editing is done by someone else - most of the time I'm going on so much he needs to speed up the pace!
Designing electronic drums with Live 7 - tutorial videos
Hi All
I've been working on a track that is totally built from the original beat box sample that this kit is built from
most of the sounds are the drums in the series, but I have also extracted some of the sounds from the final drum rack and turned them into bass and synth sounds
the atmospheric sounds are just one drum sound fed into a reverb which I fed back into itself, then I recorded the result to a track and used it on 2 tracks as audio files and mixed them together
for this reason the set is large and not really downloadable at present, otherise I'd post an ALP
there is a sort of stabby sound that is that reverb ambient stuff stuck into a SImpler and played on the keyboard
so every sound in the track in some way comes from that original beat box sample here: http://alexisforge.co.uk/2_1-Breaks.wav
current track:

Sorry. This just totally makes me giggle.
"11. Making a Triangle Sound (13:05) - Starting with one of the Simplers created in the Ride cymbal tutorial, the sound is re-tuned and a nested rack is created containing an open and closed triangle sound."
Man, how often have I thought "if only I could make the right triangle sound".

it's intended to be accessible to beginners as well so it has to assume that the viewer hasn't used Live before, but this one is not really aimed at total beginners - it's more about sound design and it's kind of an exercise in synthesis with Si/ampler using a mic recording as the source, so total beginners may not want to jump into that kind of thing
