whenever i play a VST instrument from my R8 drum-machine pads (hooked up via MIDI on a MOTU Ultralite USB modem) the recorded notes are delayed. I'm pretty low with my latency settings so i am wondering what the best way is to set up things so i don't have to move the notes manually so they are in sync.
I assume i can't use the track delay settings since this does not actually move the notes but just delays the audio stream without visual feedback. It's very tedious and not very precise to always have to move the notes by hand after recording ... maybe i just missed sth in the manual & setup process.?
Is there a way to set up Live so that the notes i tap on my pads appear on the grid at the right timing. I can find out more or less how much the delay is by trial and error, but i would like to get it as precis as possible.
