Session Drums multimic kits macro controls

I'm still working my way around Session Drums, and I've found something I don't understand.

If I load a multimic kit, the volume of each drum can never go beyond 2/3 of the volume slider. This is because each sample has the volume and velocity set to a macro so that the volume cannot go any higher, not matter what other control you try to change.

Now, i can easily change that macro and set it how I want...

But why would all of the multimic kit presets be set up this way? I cannot think of any reason to set up a kit that can't reach full volume. Can anyone else?
