Best laptop for music production

Looking for a laptop to be able to travel with my music, what would you consider the best non mac laptop. Looking at around 500great british pounds.

Obviously want to run live 7 and a few plug ins

if i were buying windows (which im not anymore, im an apple convert... did IT for 5 years on windows based machines, tried a mac and fell in love) i would go with a toshiba or sony machine. hardware wise i was always the most impressed with what they had to offer. their stuff isnt the cookie cutter crap that a lot of the other companies put out.

BUT, i would also suggest trying to find a used macbook on ebay or something. apple pwnz imo.

sony vaio vgn-n11s is well behaved. cheap as well.
