major crashing in update 7.0.7

i have recently dwnloaded 7.0.7 and am experincing crashes all over the show.

Live is crashing....

On start up.

When loading previous set from the file tab.

In the middle of rendering to disk - live renders the set to a wav file then crashes without making the accompanying .als file.

.... wot dya reckon guys, could this be a sudden problem with my machine or a problem with the update.

Any help would be most apprieciated

......thought it would be a good idea for me to tell everyone that im using a PC not a MAC to run live.

Hello seanio,

Please send me your Log.txt file.
The Log.txt file can be found in following location:

XP:C:/Documents and Settings/your user name/ApplicationData/Ableton/Live/PreferenceWindows

Vista: c:/users/username/appdata/roaming/ableton/live/preferences/

Note that on some Windows systems the application data folder is hidden by default. Here is what you have to do to make it visible:
Windows XP/2000
1. Launch Explorer.
2. Select Tools/Folder Options/View.
3. Check "Show hidden files and folders."

hi .. i'm also getting frequent crashes with 707 on OSX 10.5.3... where is the logfile for OSX ? couldn't find any log.txt file.

sorry found it .. was in Mac OS X: /User/Library/Preferences/Ableton which was excluded from my spotlight search

wasnt able to find the folder in question on my computer at all

I may have forgot to say that these crashes.....

are silent crashes ( live doesnt relise it has crashed)

e.g - no box telling me to recover my work

I have updated the version to newer versions since, and still occurs.

The crash at the moment seems to be happening on one set im trying to open... at this moment in time all other files open properly.
Maybe my crashes are happening because of a way im saving my files but im not sure... just another guess.

hope this helps anyone who is having the same problems.
