Can't listen to windows media player and ableton the same ti

The title says it all. When ableton is activated I can't listen to WMP and it gives an error message. Same goes for flash movies and ableton and WMP.

I have an m-audio firewire solo. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

why would you want to? I thought this was normal & standard until got the Delta 1010LT but apparently not

Well it's useful for sampling songs. I can download a set listen to them quickly and steal their samples.

i dont know, maybe there's a setting for 'release in background' or something?

I think this is pretty normal...not sure what you can do about it
