just take it off this page.
Wow, cool. Thanks!

It´s sad that your other toys are windows only, but hopefully they are obsolete with version 8 anyway.
heh,
I'd love to believe so - but I stopped work on my loopers last year because I was so convinced that Live7 would come with some kind of looper-killer-feature.
silly me!

you can never predict what the Ableton's will do, so I wouldn't bet on any particular feature making it in, however in demand it might be. That's why I make my own stuff - I feel self reliant, :)

give the man a loop and he will make a song

teach him how to loop and he will make a performance.

I've made a slew of midi lfos and the like but Live doesn't except midi from plugins :(

build a MIDI Out into your plugin , that addresses the system devices available. Get MidiYoke , or use IAC on a mac

In live allow midi yoke (or IAC) to control track and remote.

drag the plugin into live

allow it to send data while Live is in midi learn mode and it should pick up the information being dent from your plugin.

see this example - it is on track 3, and it takes that audio stream from track 3 and converts it to midi control data and then sends it out of midi yoke. When I midi learn in Live and press my 'assign' button I can assign that data to anything in Live. Here I have assigned the output of the plugin to control the volume of track 2... just to show you what I mean.

OK what am I missing here? Can't you just make a blank MIDI track, assign a CC to a clip, say 1 bar in length, design any sort of LFO curve you want, And route it to the Track you want LFO on, assign it to control the parameter in the track FX or instrument you want and Bob's your uncle? This is what I do at least.... sample and hold would be nice, but not as nice as more than 128 parameters. :?

I've done that in the past but it's a pain and the project becomes spread across many files.

what would also be cool is being able to record the movements the lfo makes to parameters as automation, that way if it does something you like you can edit it or copy and paste the automation to other places.

i'm having visions of hundreds of clips all following actions going through enormous chains of modulated reverbs all being recorded as automation. i think i'm gonna be a bit sick again.

+1

very cool idea. It still annoys me that I had flstudio on my parent's shit dell nearly five years ago and could do things in it then that I can't do now on a pricey mac with Live. (Of course, I am mostly very happy and talking about obscure things... but still).
