I see no mention of royalties on your rules page - only a statement that anything I send you becomes your property. That's not very reassuring.

From the website:

11. All remixes submitted for this contest become the legal property of the REMIXUS TEAM and it's affiliated companies.

12. All trademarks and logos are protected. All rights of the producer and the owner of the recorded work are reserved by REMIXUS TEAM.

Donkey Shoite

i don't see how if someone sends you a track whether it be a remix or not that the song in whole becomes your property???
the only thing the label owns are the parts i.e vocals/acapella supplied to make the remix and any samples provided...
if i produce a remix for you are anyone else i own half of the rights to that track in that i/we arranged, changed, used my own sounds/plugins and gave that original track another dimension etc and in that track you supplied the acapella...therefore giving you the label a 50/50 cut of any profits made.

i agree with sample freak and some of the others on this one im afraid..

what is your label?
iv'e heard the vocal so NUFF said there..too commercial
also as Noel said...there's something not right about things here in that any song/remix someone sends you then becomes your property...that's a NO NO..

i would spar wide of this one..no offence intended it's just a bit shady

Why don't you just answer the perfectly reasonable questions asked earlier in this thread instead of calling people silly for asking them? Until you do the only sane thing to do is to regard this contest as a scam.

Why would we work so hard, just to have this contest be a scam..

We've got radio stations and Djs lined up to hear the remixes..

Not to mention a good number of Ableton entries..

That's why we said "you guys are silly"

Cause you have nothing better to do than shoot other people down..

anyone who would submit their work to this "contest" based on the information given, deserves to get ripped off.

Now _this_ is silly. Asking questions about this project of yours isn't trying to "shoot anyone down". The fact that you continue to evade the questions and instead get defensive isn't adding to your credibility imnsho.

my favorite part from the kvr forum he spammed as RemixContest:
RemixContest wrote:the MP3 apacellas are in 128kbps because that's CD Quality..
when questioned about this, he responded...
RemixContest wrote:There's several types of CD quality according to Sony (The inventor of the CD). Starting at 128kbps and reaching up to Transparent quality at 320kbps.

When we mentioned CD quality MP3s, we were referring to the first one @ 128kbps.. Please don't get us wrong here, we are professionals and try very hard to please everyone in this forum, but don't be put off by a poorly explained/understood comment..

The more i read this topic the more annoying it gets...questions asked but no answers...?
Firstly were not as silly as you might think here mate..a few of us on here have asked you:

Who are you?
What is your Label called?

Here is what it says word for word on your site:

RemixUs Team is a collaborative group of Professional Dance Music Artists

Who have joined forces to better the World of Dance Music

Some of the members include Vocalists from successful pop groups

and Award Winning Producers who've hit #1 consistently

on the Billboard Dance Charts

Can you name some of the vocalists from successful pop groups as we would like to know?
And can you tell me all about these award winning producers who have had as you describe HIT#1 Consistently...?

These are all fair questions i think..and can you list the tracks that you yourself have had success with?

I mean surely if this is all legit you can supply this info...YES/NO?

And another question:

Why these 2 tracks? The vocalist sucks...i mean "You must be Avin a Giraffe mate"

This whole thing is piss poor from start to finish and anyone entering this fiasco want their fuking heads looking at
My advice is to let this thread die...fuck me you can't even answer the valid questions the members are asking here..the more you frequent this place trying to get some mugs to enter your competition the more it fucking boils my piss....

Tell us who you are because we ain't heard of you or your list of top vocalists you apparently have or think you have..

Kind Regards
from England

Hi, besides the fact that this contest sucks, the CD is a invention from a man with the name Russel and later Philips in Holland ! And MP3*128 has nothing to do with CD quality Bory! And Sony and Philips made it what it is now together in a later stadium.
