Tom Cosm & Pitch Black - Live Workshop Video now online

Post by Pitch Black » Tue Aug 12, 2008 5:26 am

Hey All,

The video of the Ableton workshop we did with Tom Cosm in London last month is now online. It's a one hour 539Mb WMV file that can be downloaded or streamed here:

http://www.pitchblack.co.nz/Default.asp ... bletonlive

Details of the workshop: http://www.ableton.com/pitchblack-tomcosm-workshop

For the first half-hour, Tom takes you through the basics of getting a track out of your Audio/Sequencer software-of-choice and setting it up for live gigging inside Ableton Live.

For the second half-hour, Paddy and Mike demonstrate their no-looking-at-the-computers hardware setup, dub mixing, and MIDI-triggered visuals.

It's a pretty comprehensive tour from basic to esoteric... with a few laughs thrown in...

Enjoy!

Mike, Paddy & Tom

I know thats a huge video and most video sites probably won't take it. But try google video. It might work, I have seen some hour plus videos up there.

Can't wait to check it out.

I've created an account on google video and uploaded it... it seemed to work... just have to wait and see when it shows up.

Wonderful work, guys!!! There's something in there for everyone to learn from, both noobs and veterans.

I suggest you finish this off with a great contest: First person to accurately state how many times Paddy says the word "dub" gets a lock of his red hair.

Mike, Paddy & Tom - Thanks for coming over to London - great to come down to the Q+A and performance.

I can only get 320Mb of the download though :( after several attempts!
Has anyone managed to D/L the whole file?
Also on the file i have it's impossible to rewind or forward your position which is frustrating if you need to hear something again.

ANyhow cheers for posting this video guys it's much appreciated.

That's because Tom, Paddy, and Mike hate Mac users and spend their spare time concocting fiendish plots to thwart them.
