and that artist and agent had no problem with me using my setup in the first place.

thanks

On one hand, you got a chance at a gig and it's probably the pro thing to do to play it by their terms. But make sure you've read the contract in minute detail, you might get kicked off stage for using the wrong brand of hair gel, or if too many in the audience cheer you.

Sheesh, that's colossally stupid...

maximum01 wrote:guys, just a follow up post, have spoken to deadmau5's agent, steve hogan and he was very concerned about how this thread escalated.

he had no problem with me using ableton in the first place as long as the set-ups were kept apart. there was obviously some miscommunication going on somewhere.

i'm sorry i started the thread and didnt intent it to escalate like this and turn negatively on the artist/agent.

appologies and peace.
Curious - whatever happened to "mean what you say and say what you mean"

the first time around

:)

GOD THAT IS SO FUCKING AWESOME.

A miscommunication happens and everyone immediately jumps on the DEADMAU5 IS A FUCKING ASSHOLE bandwagon.

There truly is no hope for humanity, but an awesome thread nonetheless.

To deflect all this negativity from the esteemed Deadmau5 :-

My wife last night, insisted that i help sort shit out and pack for our holidays instead of my wish to make beats and basslines with Albleton.

Surely this quite literal, 4 hour ban contravines all that is a basic human right?

Her agent hasnt been any help either.

I have come in on this thread months late LOL, glad it got sorted. Never allow people to dictate what you do with your DJ sets, It makes for a crap set with no originality. Play your best set, be creative and get paid, but most of all it should be fun.

Certainly do not pander to any of the BPM crap.
