I used a bike camcorder called an Oregon Scientific atc3k for the last few but the earlier ones were done on a nikon L10 compact. I then import to MS movie maker and fiddle around.

The drums on the nhs vid were all mangled through guitar pedals and a sherman filterbank 2 unit. :)

Ever check out Powaqqatsi? or the other two in the series?
Your approach reminds me of them and some of my video as well. Both videos I love. So freakin cool. I just got into biking myself, so I am a huge fan of the cycling one. I love the feel of NHS. With all due respect it brings life to the mundane. Very inspiring work mate. If you feel so inclined check out some of my work:

Cheers I'll have a little look later tonight.

It was those tunes that spurred someone to tell me about Philip Glass, and after that I got into a lot of his output including the films you mention (there are three Qatsi films, but you prolly already know that :) )

downfader- Cool concept! I enjoyed watching both....I worked washing dishes before, but in a much messier kitchen. The bike tour was cool! Thanks for sharing, peace.

Maybe I'll try something similar, it's cool to see more of where people are from...turns nicknames into faces and friends.
