Help with trigger finger and live 7

Post by Persian Man » Fri Oct 03, 2008 12:02 am

I got Ableton live 7 and I have the Trigger Finger and I am having some trouble. I love how you can just chop and drag the sample with out if affecting the actual file. But when I warp something and change the pitch or tempo and then either choose "slice in to midi track" or manually slice it, it goes back to normal. Does anyone know a way i can edit it and then put it in the drum rack leaving it the way it was edited. Cause I like Ableton and Ive made a few songs with it, but when it comes to drum racks i don't feel i have enough control. I really want to get an mpc now if this doesn't work out.

Any help would be very appreciated :D

Hi,

you need to freeze/flatten the audio clip (or resample it) first in order to to slice it with all the editing you applied to the clip.

Thank you man, also, sorry to bother you, is there a way to slow down the clip without warping or knowing the original tempo?

Hi,

you´ll need to warp the audio clip in order to slow it down.
