Problem with running ableton!
Problem with running ableton!
Hello guys!
Im having trouble with running Ableton 6 and 7, because after I installed the program and when im trying to launch the .exe fail there appears somekinda Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error.
Runtime Error!
Program:....rogramFiles\Ableton\Live6.0.10.exe
"This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an usual way.
Please contact the application`s support team for more information."
Im going to give a short config about my PC on this link. Just click on it and open it.

I appreciate any help for fixing this problem.
I tryied googeling around the net, but the solutions didn`t get me further by solving my own problem, maybe I was in a wrong place, downloading and installing wrong software.
So I beg you guys to help me out at this one, please!
Cheers to all of you.

my fix to all my computer problems was to wipe it clean. Then I installed only what I needed on the computer. Just ableton and other audio software that I am going to use is on the computer. Just the basic drivers and none of the other stuff that comes with the computer. No games, porn, third party stuff and no major Service Pack upgrades. I find doing the automatic updates screws up some peoples computers. Keeping it simple.

Hi guys,
this error can have various reasons. Sometimes e.g. a faulty installation of Quicktime is causing this error message: please try, if you are able to launch Live after uninstalling QT. If Live launches then, please reinstall the latest version of Quicktime.
Sometimes a problem is related to disabled Ethernet ports, please see:
http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic. ... highlight=
If that should not help, please contact [email protected] with your specs and your log.txt file, which you can find here:
* C:/Documents and Settings/your user name/Application Data/Ableton/Live/Preferences
Note that on some Windows systems the application data folder is hidden by default. Here is what you have to do to make it visible:
Windows XP/2000
1. Launch Explorer.
2. Select Tools/Folder Options/View.
3. Check "Show hidden files and folders."
Best,
Jörg
