If you contribute to the community and thus give people a feeling of owning you something in return, sure!

Thanks everyone, almost there. It's dripping through quite steadily, hopefully a couple more days and I will have my toys.
Cheers!

Hey Tom, just curious, did you ever ask Ableton for a NFR copy?

Thanks guys! I woke up this morning and the cash has been fully raised.
Thankyou to everyone who helped out, it means a lot to me and is very much appreciated, I'll be transferring the funds through to my account and making the purchase very soon, where I will no doubt put out some new tutes and stuff with my new toys.
Also a special thanks to the person who shall remain anonymous who donated just over $200.
Go the internet!
-Tom
(No, I've never asked Ableton for a NFR.)

I demand to see a hi res video of you making a tearful and sobbing thank you while clutching your new copy of Live.
Hollywood style, maybe with some running eye makeup or something.

what a dumbass, working...
COSM is more respected and appreciated here (and at Ableton) than you are at your job.
get off the internet and get back to work.
In my life
Why do I smile
At people who I'd much rather kick in the eye?
