Hi All, I have been looking for an answer on the forum but not found
any... so:
I wonder, what is the default behaviour/capabilities of the
korg PadKontrol in Ableton Live 7 ?
I have enabled the control surface and yes, I can play midi-notes on the
pads, and I can assign controllers to the XY-pad and knobs. But there
are lots of other buttons as well.. What functions do they represent? What
are the capabilities of PadKontrol with ableton Live 7 ?
Where can I find the documentation ?
Any pointer?
Thanx in advance..
/M

I begin to undestand that FARMPAD is the really ONE.
Farmpad allows the user to freely re-configure the padkontrol in any way.
all nativekontrol, pk[square] or other apps are kind of specific preconfigured padkontrol native templates, but won't allow you to do what YOU EXACTLY WANT FOR YOUR LIVE SET.
it's a shame that farmpad is still only mac OSX. I can't blame its author, Flycycle, who made a great work programming and giving freely this powerful app.
I can only blame destiny not having put a PC guy on the padkontrol way, that would have the same talent and creativity as Flycycle, or just a PC guy that would be able to port farmpad to windows OS...
I can also blame NKP, pk[square], thingkontrol and kontrolthing developpers to take $$$ for their non-open apps (I mean that you can do only what they designed it for, not everything that you want)...
but I am not a programmer / developper, I'm not on windows, I'm just a happy farmpad user, so I guess I should STFU

Superchibsien - I don't think there is anything similar.
Native Mode wise, there is:
http://www.covops.org/index.php/Freebie ... uared.html
http://stutterbrain.wordpress.com/
http://www.nativekontrol.com/
the last one being the best combination of complexity and reliability. However, noe of them follow the Farmpad route of allowing you to program your own ideas into it (at least that's my understanding of Farmpad, having never used it)
could also check the Korg forum
