How do you do it? Basically I should be recording the output of the soundcard right?

ok did it now. there is a free "youtube to mp3 converter", you can google it, but I think despite their claims its adware. I´ve had some virus alerts since I installed it, but suspect it comes from another attack.

EDIT: This is indeed spyware.

... does not work for me. It gives me an empty mp3.

gives me "A communication error occurred: ""

with ASIO4ALL (PC only) I can run two soundcards at once. so, my laptop sound card plays youtubes which I open as a track in Live, which is using my USB soundcard as the output. with this I can record youtubes.

btw adding "&fmt=18" makes youtubes hi-def, if available.
