Glitchy features in Live2?

Post by bsom » Sat Nov 30, 2002 8:41 pm

Will Live2 be able to assign midi controllers to the "WARP' section of clips? I would very much like to change the BPM, etc. of loops while they are playing with my PC1600X instead of my mouse....

OK....that talks about the 'LOOP' section, but I'm talking about the 'WARP' section....

Think it was mentionned already that the bpm (though I admit most discussions focused on the master bpm) will be midi controllable (which seems quite logic as there now is a knob in the warp section (see screenshot of v2) ...

If I remember well some thread mentionned as well that most edit controls would be midi-controllable (I wanted eg the transpose button midi controllable as well)

Ah, yes, a knob!

But, it is only a single knob! What does it control?!?

Could it be it controls all three warpcontrols where the dropdown menu will have beats [as shown in the screenshot] for bpm manipulation, signature and transients for the others ... hopefully the different dropdown/knob combos than will be able to be assigned to midi independently ...

As soon as I get off my ass and finishing something. I have a perpetual case of 'start and don't finish'. Plus, I've been working on alot of programming/graphics projects lately, so music has kind of taken a back seat.

Thanks. I try...

I'm working on an assload of Flash content that syncs to music as I'm starting to dip into the world of VJ'ing.

Well, I think you may have misunderstood me....

I'm developing Flash-based material that 'listens' to live music and reacts, or in some cases even generates content, to the music...

This isn't a web based product, but visuals that would accompany a live performance in a club...
