simpler sound files - how do you save in a folder ?
simpler sound files - how do you save in a folder ?
I know how to create simpler patches - but how do you save the sound files into one location ? Is there a quick way of doing this ? I recently reorganised my song files / folders - and now when I choose a simpler patch Live can't locate the wav files.
Any ideas ? Thanks, Steve.

it does .... but ....
Saving self-contained does save the Simpler files in the song file you are working on. However, if you move your folders / files - like I did - then when you want to use the patch in another song - Live cannot locate the sound file. It would be useful to be able to save all the Simpler files in one folder - then make sure you never move it.
I'm sure there are long winded ways of doing this - I was just trying to find a slick method.

I would say just putting all the sound files in a folder next to/ or in the area as your patches.steved wrote:I know how to create simpler patches - but how do you save the sound files into one location ? Hey thanks spectre .... thats my first ever RTFM !!!!! Much appreciated. So which page is it that actually tells you how to easily save all your Simpler files into one folder ? - 'cos I can't find it. Pg. 46 ,47 .... nope can't see it there, pg. 180 ..... nope ..... i guess I'd better just keep searching ...... thanks anyway.

I take it from the replies so far that there isn't a streamlined way to save all Simpler wav files in one folder.
All I can think of doing is creating a blank song with one instance of Simpler - Load simpler patches one at a time and keep saving self contained - You should end up with one folder then containing all the wav files.
It's a good idea to do this before you re-organise all your folders ......

as i said. that trackteam refill thing seems to be the only way to do it without any hassle. We would need the same thing but then costumizable to include our own files.
It installs the files in the presets folder along with the sample folders. And those patches load every time you boot up Live. The only problem with doing that manually is that your samples need to be in that presets folder before you make patches.
It would be nice if that installer would be made available instead of just being useable by people wanting to make money of this.
