I didn't think I'd see anything hit the market that I absolutely had to have, but if that thing had a buy it now I would definitely be clicking it.

I was just thinking earlier tonight how I wish there was a controller with faders knobs and a big grid of buttons. sweeeeeeeeeetness.
It was as if someone shook up a 6 foot can of blood soda and suddenly popped the top.

who's guessing a price tag of $499. usd? or maybe $599. I'd be amazed if it was $399.

Shit the bed that thing is beautiful!!!

*comes*

NO way can I even think about being able to afford it, even if it is $399.

I could sell one of my children I suppose. The first-born's been pissing me off a bit lately!

I think we need a sweepstake on this :D I'm guessing:

APC40 = £400 / $600 / 450 euro

Max for Live = £200 / $300 / 225 euro

MfL is a hard one to judge at this stage though because we don't know exactly what it will allow. And it can't cost so much that it costs more than buying Max/MSP, can it?

What is this Arrange mode you speak of?

Yeah, reckon it's a good guess :(

I guess I'm joining the queue for one here too. Very nice.

Can't wait to cover it with wood-effect vinyl just to be perverse.

Gonna have to get some stuff on eBay...

This kind of thing should have existed for a while....
I made my own a few years ago. Only 5 scenes is maybe not enough, though.

I think it's a fair assumption that Ableton wouldn't have put their name to this thing if it wasn't going to be a pretty solid solution.

Obviously, with any dedicated controller, they aren't going to satisfy every user's every demand. But this is the first controller I've looked at and thought "actually, I reckon if there are shortcomings I could adapt my workflow to the controller."

Well, I could buy a Lemur but I can't afford it :D And I am guessing the APC40 will cost less than that!

Bye bye BCR2000 methinks

Yeah, my first thought was "WOW!"

Now I'm thinking "only 5 scenes?", "where are the scene and track scroll wheels?", "where are the freely assignable buttons?"

Maybe it will be fantastic. Or maybe I need to start saving up for the APC-64.

I'm guessing - hoping - that applies to scenes too.
